I meet you where you are at in multiple ways.

For a few months, I had an Internet censorship banner covering my name that was meant to grab attention to a couple pieces of legislation that went through the political circle in the early part of this year. They were presented in a sequence: The Stop Online Privacy Act (SOPA) and the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA). The reason it was posted for so long here is because it is still ongoing. Even though both aforementioned bills were defeated; there is an indirect, third attempt called the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) which tries to address the flow of information from the private sector to the Federal Government, which could be used to pave a way towards re-introducing another bill that is similar to SOPA and PIPA. The Internet is one of many many topics of concern where there is political action taking place; and that these other topics also deserve attention; however given my trade, I wish to share some fantastic articles that can be used to educate ourselves about this topic. Please find below a pair of articles on the topics. The first article has many links to other articles that dive into further detail. Enjoy!
